The Americas headquarters of Swiss Re are located in Armonk, New York on a 127-acre (52 hectares) site overlooking Westchester County’s picturesque Kensico Reservoir. The state-of-the-art facility, which houses more than 1,000 employees from the company’s Life & Health and Property & Casualty business units, was completed in 1999 and expanded in 2004.
Designed with a raised floor system and open plan office furnishings, the building allows maximum flexibility in meeting the everchanging needs of our business units. On-site amenities included a fitness center and cafeteria.
Both the design and construction of the Swiss Re Armonk building were developed with an awareness of the environment and Swiss Re's vision to minimize site environmental impact. For instance, building a garage in the facility rather than open space parking reduced the land required for vehicles from seven acres (2.8 hectares) to one acre (.4 hectares).
The Americas headquarters of Swiss Re are situated 24 miles (40 kilometers) from New York City.
